Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Override — an online idle, incremental economy game — together with our websites at overridegame.io and any related apps and services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Mstrly Labs OÜ, a company registered in Estonia ("we", "us", "our"). Our full company and contact details are at the end of these Terms.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Alpha service — provided “as is”

Override is in active alpha. We are still testing mechanics and balancing the economy. This means the Service may change, break, or be unavailable at any time, and we may reset, wipe, or delete game data, balances, virtual items and progress — for some or all players — at any time and without notice or compensation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.

2. Eligibility & age

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and consents to your use of the Service, including any future purchases.
• The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. See our Privacy Policy.

3. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Access during alpha may require an invite code. One account per person unless we say otherwise; don't create accounts to evade bans or abuse game systems.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, automate play with bots or scripts, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage;
• reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other players;
• use the Service for anything unlawful, or infringe anyone's rights;
• buy, sell, or trade accounts, virtual items, or currency for real money outside the Service.

5. Your content

Override lets you post text and other content (for example through in-game media features). You keep ownership of what you create, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute it within the Service for the purpose of operating it.

You are solely responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes others' rights. We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may remove any content and suspend accounts at our discretion. To report content, email [email protected].

6. Virtual items, currency & purchases

• In-game currency and items have no real-world or monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are licensed to you for in-game use only — you do not own them. We may adjust, remove, or reset them at any time (see Section 1).
• The Service is currently free. We may introduce optional in-game purchases in future. When we do, purchases will be processed by a third-party payment provider and additional purchase terms will apply.
• To the extent permitted by law, purchases of virtual items are final and non-refundable once delivered. EU/EEA consumers may have a statutory right of withdrawal, which is lost once delivery of digital content begins with your prior express consent.
• If you are a minor, you must have your parent or guardian's permission before making any purchase, and they are responsible for it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Override name, logo, software, artwork, and all related content (other than your own content), is owned by Mstrly Labs OÜ or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play the Service for your own non-commercial enjoyment. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time — including for breach of these Terms, cheating, or abuse — with or without notice. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting [email protected]. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, virtual items, progress, or profits. Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim, and in any event will not exceed €100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer in the EU/EEA.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mstrly Labs OÜ from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you (e.g. in-app or by email). Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Estonia — without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence. EU/EEA consumers may also have access to out-of-court dispute resolution; a list of certified dispute-resolution bodies is available at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies.
